Marlene Heidemann CCC, RCC

The MindFire Approach

I’m Marlene Heidemann, and I provide trauma-informed counselling for individuals navigating life’s challenges—whether everyday stress, relationship and family dynamics, burnout, injury recovery, or major life transitions.

As an Occupationally Aware Healthcare Provider, I offer specialized mental health support for Public Safety Personnel (PSP) and their loved ones. With specialized training and personal insight into uniformed frontline professions and paramilitary work culture, I understand the pressures, values, and expectations that can influence mental health in high-stress environments.

My clinical work includes supporting post-traumatic operational stress injuries (OSI), critical incidents, cumulative stress, and work-related psychological strain, with a focus on psychological health and operational functioning.

I also offer neurofeedback, a neuroscience-based intervention that supports nervous system regulation, cognitive flexibility, and emotional resilience. For Public Safety Personnel, neurofeedback can support focus, self-regulation, and reduced reactivity. It can be integrated with counselling or accessed as a stand-alone service.

If you’re looking for specialized, discreet, and practical support tailored to your individual needs, I’m here to help.
